Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information DubVoicer handles and why. The short version: your voice stays on your device unless you decide otherwise.

Microphone and recordings

The game requests microphone access only after you press Start, using your browser's standard permission prompt. Audio is captured with the browser's recording API and held in memory on your device for the current session. It is used to play back your takes, to mix the final dub and to compute a score locally. Recordings are not uploaded to our servers. Leaving or reloading the page discards them. A future save/share feature will require an explicit action from you and will be described here before launch.

Play sessions

When you start a scene we record that a session began for that scene, and when you finish we record the numeric score. This is used for popularity ranking and to understand which scenes work. It contains no audio and no account identity in the current release.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4, Ahrefs Analytics and Vercel Web Analytics to measure page views and game events such as “scene started” or “permission denied”. IP anonymisation is enabled for Google Analytics. These events help us fix the microphone flow and prioritise scenes; they are not used to build advertising profiles.

Reports

If you report a scene, we store the reason, any details you give and, optionally, a contact email so we can follow up. Reports are kept for as long as needed to resolve them and for compliance records.

Cookies and local storage

The core game does not require cookies. Analytics vendors may set their own cookies as described in their policies. We may store small preferences (such as ambience on/off) in your browser's local storage.

Children

The Service is not directed at children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal data, contact us and we will delete it.

Your rights

Depending on where you live you may have rights to access, correct or delete personal data. Because we hold very little, most requests can be fulfilled quickly. Use the contact details on the DMCA page.

Changes

We will update the date at the top of this page whenever the policy changes.
