Choicer Voicer is a voice acting game. Instead of controlling a character with buttons, you control it with your voice: the game plays a short clip with the original dialogue, then hands the microphone to you and asks you to perform each line yourself. When every line has been recorded, the clip plays back with your voice replacing the original audio.

It sits somewhere between karaoke and improv. The fun comes from hearing your own delivery, or your friends' delivery, dropped into a scene that was never meant to sound like that.

The core loop

Every version of the game follows the same four beats:

  1. Listen. A line of dialogue plays with its subtitle so you know the timing and the tone.
  2. Perform. A countdown runs and you record your take for that line.
  3. Review. You listen back and either keep the take or retry it.
  4. Replay. After the last line the whole scene plays back as a finished dub.

Because the scene is chopped into individual lines, you never need to memorise anything. Each take is a few seconds long, which is why the game works so well in groups: the microphone gets passed around and everyone gets a character.

What are dub packs?

The original game is built around dub packs: bundles that contain a clip, the subtitle timing for each line and a list of characters. The community makes and shares packs, which is why searches for "Choicer Voicer dub packs" and "voice packs" are so common. We cover this in detail in Choicer Voicer Dub Packs Explained.

Downloadable game vs. browser version

The original Choicer Voicer is a downloadable desktop game, and packs are installed into it as files. This site is an unofficial, browser-based take on the same idea. The differences that matter:

Playing is free and no account is required. You pick a scene, allow microphone access and start. Recordings stay in your browser during the session. Read How to Play Choicer Voicer Online for a walkthrough, or jump straight to the dub pack directory.

Who is it for?

  • Friends on a call or in the same room who want a fast party game.
  • Streamers who want reactive, clip-friendly content.
  • Anyone who likes voice acting, impressions or just being loud on purpose.

Scenes here range from two-character coffee shop bickering to three-voice space emergencies. If you have never tried it, start with an Easy scene and play all the characters yourself.
