How to Play Choicer Voicer Online (No Download)
Play Choicer Voicer online in your browser without downloading anything. What you need, which browsers work, how microphone permission works and how to start your first scene.

You do not need to install Choicer Voicer to play it. This site runs a browser-based version of the game: scenes load on a web page, your browser's microphone records your lines and playback happens right there. Here is exactly what you need and how to start.
What you need
- A browser released in the last few years: Chrome, Edge, Firefox or Safari.
- A microphone. Built-in laptop and phone mics are fine.
- An https connection. Browsers only allow microphone recording on secure pages; this site is served over https by default.
That's it. No account, no plugin, no pack files.
Supported browsers and devices
| Device | Browser | Works? |
|---|---|---|
| Windows, Mac, Linux | Chrome, Edge, Firefox | Yes |
| Mac | Safari 14.1+ | Yes |
| iPhone, iPad | Safari (iOS 14.3+) | Yes |
| Android | Chrome | Yes |
| Any | In-app browsers (Instagram, TikTok, Discord) | Often blocked – open in Safari or Chrome |
The game uses feature detection when you press Start, so if something is missing you get a clear message instead of a silent failure.
Starting your first scene
- Go to Choicer Voicer Online or the dub pack directory.
- Press Play on a scene. Easy two-character scenes are best to start with.
- Press Start dubbing. The browser shows its microphone prompt. Choose Allow.
- Do the mic check, pick a character or Play all, and press Begin recording.
- Follow the listen → countdown → record → review loop for each line.
The whole round for a 25-second scene takes about two minutes.
Where do recordings go?
By default, nowhere. Your takes are held in your browser's memory for the current session and used for the final playback and the score. Close or reload the tab and they are gone. Nothing is uploaded unless you choose to save or share a project, a feature that is planned for a later release.
Why does it ask for microphone permission?
Recording your voice is the game. The prompt appears only after you press Start, never on page load. You can revoke access at any time from the lock icon in the address bar. If the prompt never appears or the game says access is blocked, see How to Allow Microphone Access in Chrome or the iPhone Safari guide.
Playing online vs. the downloadable game
The downloadable Choicer Voicer uses community dub packs with video clips. The online version here uses original scripted scenes with a synthesised reference voice, which is what makes instant browser play possible and keeps everything free of copyrighted footage. The recording loop, retries, final playback and party dynamics are the same.
Playing with friends online
Everyone opens the same scene link on their own device, records, and shares the result link. Because scores are computed the same way for everyone, it is a fair, if slightly chaotic, competition.
